my story
Patty Stecker: Retiring after 30+ years of working in the corporate world, I am realizing my dream to do something for the pure joy of doing it. I've always loved rocks, nature and making stuff. Seeking creative expression, personal life balance and giving back to my community, I started Balance Stone Designs in 2015. I’ve always been drawn to jewelry for the story a piece holds and the way it can make us feel.
Materials & Workmanship: I mainly use either Argentium Silver or Sterling Silver for fabrication of all pendants, charms and chain. Argentium is slightly purer than Sterling, highly tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic. I work with a wide variety of gemstones such as topaz, peridot, tourmaline, garnet, rough-cut rubies, amethyst, apatite, agates and pearls of high grade quality. The gemstones in your jewelry are more than a beautiful accessory. Stones transmit different inherent qualities and through its vibrations, promote healing and positive energy. It is fascinating how we are drawn to a specific gemstone or particular colors... Gemstones are speaking to you!
My jewelry is not mass produced, but individually and lovingly handmade by me, Patty Stecker. Many pieces are truly one-of-a-kind, while others are created as part of a line of similar pieces, all made unique by small variations in color and design elements, leaving no two exactly alike.
Attention to detail is paramount and each piece is inspected for quality of materials and workmanship.
